Materials: Arched tiger flame laminate maple body; solid maple neck; solid ebony fingerboard; multi-bound body and neck.

Hardware: All original hardware includes twin Heritage humbucking pickups; Grover Rotomatic tuners: H-script trapeze tailpiece; compensated roller bridge; bound ebonized flame maple pickguard; black speed knobs; 3 way pickup selector switch.

Notes: Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old factory plant, the full size Heritage H-550 draws inspiration from the Gibson Tal Farlow model, and its predecessor, the legendary Gibson ES-350. The Heritage H-550 features a highly flamed full depth 17" Venetian cutaway body, parallel bracing, and full 25 1/2" scale for greater snap on the note. The twin Heritage humbucking pickups and roller bridge are backed with a solid maple reinforcement strip under the soundboard, for improved sustain and feedback resistance.

This example is crafted with tiger flame maple of exceptional intensity, and has been maintained in 100% original condition, free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. Apart from a bit of wear to the pickguard, the instrument shows few signs of play altogether.

Solid ebony fingerboard with fine medium jumbo frets, and a gentle D profile neck that plays effortlessly The voice is smooth and rich, with a classic full mid-60's jazz tone.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
