Notes: A superbly crafted instrument by one of America's most accomplished young builders. Bryant Trenier is a European trained luthier whose instruments combine traditional design with exacting contemporary standards of craft. Rare among contemporary builders, Trenier is a fine visual designer as well as a meticulous fabricator. The result is an instrument as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear and the hand.

A full depth super jumbo guitar in the tradition of the D'Angelico New Yorker, the Trenier Magnolia is carved of exceptional tiger flame maple, with a hand-graduated bookmatched fine grained European spruce top. The cello-grade flamed maple back shows figure in a wonderfully symmetrical pattern, and the rims show a particularly fine vivid figure. With it's finely carved X braced top, the Trenier Magnolia is a true acoustic archtop in the big band tradition, with big buttery warmth and massive projection. The neck profile is gently rounded and easy in the hand, with nicely crowned medium frets over a fingerboard of solid black ebony. All handmade, the Magnolia includes premium features like curly maple body binding, bound pickguard, solid ebony hardware and a gold Kent Armstrong floating humbucking pickup with volume control and enpin jack.

The Trenier Magnolia is an outstanding value in a true hand crafted, American made instrument. Newly built 18" guitars are hard to find, especially in the traditional noncutaway design. This example is an instant classic from a fast-rising builder.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe arched black plush hardshell case.
