Notes: Introduced in mid-1952, the Gibson Les Paul Model has remained the most iconic electric guitar to this day. The Patent Applied For humbucking pickup was introduced with the model in mid-1957, and the sunburst maple top Les Paul Standard made its debut the following year, becoming one of the rarest and most coveted Les Pauls ever produced.

A pioneering virtuoso of British blues-rock, guitarist Paul Kossoff cut his chops with blues legend Champion Jack Dupree and guitar hero Peter Green in the late 60's. It's said that Clapton was so impressed with Kossoff's vibrato he requested a personal demo from the young hotshot. A founding member of the band Free, Kossoff recorded a number of renowned solos in his short career, always in the company of his fabled '59 Standard.

Borrowing the priceless original, Gibson's Custom Shop wizards digitally scanned its dimensions, reproducing the full C profile of the neck to the micron. Faithful to the minutest detail, the Kossoff LP is inlaid with aged acrylic trapezoid fingerboard inlays, and fitted with the exact hardware the guitarist preferred, including aged Grover Rotomatic tuners, and numbered gold speed knobs. Though Kossoff removed the pickguard and Kluson tuners on his treasured 'burst, the detail freaks at Gibson drilled the exposed mounting holes for them anyway. Who knew?

This magnificent guitar is crafted with an exceptionally figured bookmatched tiger flame maple top, with a gently faded 'Green Lemon' sunburst, and all aged nickel hardware. She's in virtually unplayed condition, with smooth low action over true vintage style medium jumbo frets. Finally, the guitar is supplied with original tags and paperwork, including its Custom Shop Certificate of Authentitcity. Only 250 of this model were ever produced, and all sold out quickly. Here's a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic guitar designs in rock history. All right now!
