Notes: A true child of the '60's, the Epiphone Riviera (E360TD) debuted in 1962, and came to an early end in 1970. Three decades later, the Riviera remains a popular reissue guitar, with original examples highly prized by players and collectors alike. With its warm, powerful mini-humbucking pickups and slimline body, the Riviera is the thinking player's alternative to the now extremely spendy 60's ES-335. The semi-hollow centerblock construction adds sustain and feedback resistance, and combined with it's sleek sixties neck profile and generous medium jumbo frets, the Riviera is a highly versatile instrument, and one tremendous ride.

This guitar has been maintained in great shape, with gleaming transparent cherry finish showing no pick or thumb wear, and only light traces of buckle denting and some typical finish checking, mostly on back. A vintage correct stop tailpiece was added some time ago, to enhance sustain and tonal response, and the peghead shows an impeccable older repair at the neck joint. Action is smooth and low over fine original medium jumbo frets, and the twin original humbuckers deliver pure '60's tone at its finest. An unbeatable value in a true '60's Gibson-made electric from the golden era.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Recent vintage style black Epiphone plush lined arched hardshell case.
