Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 3/4" Neck depth, 1st/10th frets: .87/1.02

Materials: Handcarved bookmatched solid Sitka spruce top; solid bookmatched AAA tiger flame maple back and sides; solid three piece maple neck with walnut certerstripe; solid ebony fingerboard; mother of pearl block fingerboard inlay and torch peghead inlay; abalone script "The Gibson" logo; triple bound fingerboard, body, peghead and pickguard.

Hardware: All original gold hardware including Waverly 16X1 Sta-Tite style open back tuners with butterbean keys, trapeze tailpiece, compensated rosewood bridge, triple bound tortoise pickguard, adjustable truss rod. Kent Armstrong Handwound Floating PAF, with volume and tone controls, 1/4" endpin jack.

Notes: All the details are there: the generous 1 3/4" nut, the familiar solid neck profile, gently rounded but not chunky; the curvy triple bound tortoise guard; the hint of color in the script peghead logo; the delicate 20's style f-holes and tapering headstock.

From 1993 to 2008 the Gibson Custom Shop went all out to produce this model, right down to the genuine Waverly tuners, smooth and solid as a Swiss movement. And the wood: absolutely spectacular chevron bookmatched AAA tiger flame maple, and gorgeous quartersawn fine grain spruce with plenty of crossgrain silk.

The sunburst is uncannily fine, feathering almost imperceptibly from a deep amber to a chocolate brown. The only things missing are the nicks and dents, and the smell of a moldy case. But you can work on that in your spare time...

This stunning example from the first year of production is one of the first three ever built. Maintained in gleaming condition, with original Certificate of Authenticity, all original hardware and finish without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. Smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup, and a clear, rich acoustic voice with excellent projection. A special plus is the Kent Armstrong Handwound Floating PAF, with volume and tone controls and endpin jack, our most popular pickup ever.

Years out of production, this high-demand guitar is just too scarce on the vintage market. Easier than building that time machine: one only, call now.

Setup: String action set to 4/64"- 5/64" at the 12th fret. Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Original deluxe brown arched plush lined hardshell case
