Notes: Bill Moll's tribute to the gigging guitarist, the Working Man's Hero uses innovative construction technology and ingenious design to produce a high performance player's guitar at a 'best buy' price. The highly figured full depth laminate body is notably lightweight, highly resonant, and significantly more feedback resistant than traditional designs. The custom Armstrong pickup is smooth and sweet, and the neck profile is sleek and comfy with a shallow D profile.
At just 5lb. 7oz., the instrument is particularly lightweight for a full depth 17" guitar, and is notably lively and resonant acoustically. The instrument has been well maintained, in fine original condition. The body shows some scattered spider checking in the all-original sunburst finish, and a few lacquer nicks, but no cracks, pick, thumb, or fingerboard wear. Action is fast and low, and the voice just sings, even unplugged.
As a special plus, the guitar is supplied with its custom fitted, super duty ATA certified flight grade fiberglass case, a $1000 value in and of itself. Bill has recently retired all his production models to concentrate on his high-end custom guitars exclusively. Now an instant collectors item, as well as a first rate gig guitar, this Working Man's Hero is something to see.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
Case: Moll Custom made Calton style heavy duty contoured black fiberglass flight case.
