Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16" Neck depth, 1st/10th frets: .83/1.02

Materials: Solid mahogany neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; arched figured maple top sides and back; dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and thistle peghead inlay; triple bound top, bound back.

Hardware: 100% original nickel hardware, including Gibson '57 Classic PAF humbucking pickups and electronics, Kluson Deluxe single ring tulip key tuners, trapeze tailpiece with raised-parallelogram crossbar; compensated adjustable Tuneomatic bridge; ; beveled 5-ply pickguard; black bell knobs; 3 way control switch.

Notes: Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been the most popular jazz guitar in the world. Originally fitted with a single P-90 pickup, the 175 added a second pickup by 1951, and humbuckers by 1957. The mahogany neck is a feature of the classic models of the 50's and 60's, and produces an instrument that is distinctly lighter in weight, and notably better balanced.

This fine example has all original hardware and finish, free of checking, pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. The classic wine red finish highlights the satiny rollers of tiger flame figure to great advantage. The traditional nickel hardware is nicely aged, and apart from a few incidental lacquer nicks, the instrument shows few signs of play altogether.

With original medium frets, and a fresh high precision setup, the action is smooth and low over a solid 50's style C profile neck. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the '57 Classic PAF humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle, and substantially resistant to feedback.

A legendary instrument in a distinguished lineage that spans a half century of hard-working guitars. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original arched black Gibson logo plush lined hardshell case.
