Notes: Vancouver, BC based luthier Shelley Park has built a worldwide following for her exquisitely crafted Selmer/Maccaferri style gypsy jazz guitars. And before she retired from the Northwest Manouche group Pearl Django, Shelley had at least as many fans of her relentless rhythm guitar work. Now established as one of the world's premier builders, her touring days are behind her. It's the concert world's loss, but luthiery's gain.
An innovative model, the Avance combines the warmth and sustain of the Grand Bouche soundhole with the punch and projection of the longer 670mm scale, as found on the oval hole Selmers. With top of spotless fine grained Sitka spruce the guitar is uncannily light in weight, at a mere 3lb 15oz. it seems virtually to float in the lap. The neck joins the body in a slim, elegant tapered heel, and the back and sides are bookmatched from evenly figured Indian Rosewood.
Featherlight and immaculately constructed, this example in superb condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and apart from a tiny lacquer ding on the peghead is in virtually unplayed condition. The guitar is supplied with all original hardware and case, and includes a built-in Bigtone pickup, the gypsy's pickup of choice. Current price of this model with upgrades is over $4000. A rare opportunity to skip the wait and bag a savings to boot, on one of the most coveted Gypsy jazz guitars made today.

The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
