His innovative Mini Voyager model offers pro-quality performance in a comfy, compact package, with its fully carved, slimmed depth 14 1/2" body.
Crafted of presentation grade tonewood of breathtaking figure and depth, the instrument features a hand graduated, fine grained Sitka spruce soundboard with a honey blonde finish, and back, sides and neck of AAAA tiger flame Bigleaf maple.
Fully hollow in construction, the Mini Voyager weighs in at a mere 5lb 5oz, and is nimbly balanced on the lap or the strap, with a lightweight open headstock and tailpiece design. The X-braced soundboard is carved with D'Aquisto style cat's-eye soundholes, and fitted with a built-in Bartolini PBF humbucking pickup, including a 3 way phase switch.
From tailpiece to tuner buttons, all hardware is hand crafted of solid ebony, matching the fingerboard, which joins the body at the 16th fret, for enhanced access to the uppermost range. With smooth low action over an elegant D profile neck, the guitar is a delight to play, with truly impressive acoustic tone when unplugged.
Rarely seen south of the border, Bill's custom archtops take maximum advantage of the staggering bounty of British Columbia's world-class tonewood. Carefully maintained in 100% original condition, the guitar has a fresh high precision setup, with excellent bridge height and neck angle, for optimum playability. Apart from some scuffing on the pickup cover, the instrument shows few signs of playwear altogether.
