Materials: Bookmatched solid European spruce top; solid figured bookmatched Indian rosewood back and sides; solid mahogany neck; solid ebony fingerboard; rosewood bound body; abalone soundhole rosette.
Hardware: All original hardware including solid rosewood bridge; Selmer style tailpiece with snakewood insert; gold 16X1 tuners; K&K Trinity piezo/mic system with 2 Channel outboard preamp; endpin jack; clear scratchplate.
Notes: Part of the Dutch Renaissance of contemporary luthiery, Gerrit Van Bergeijk has joined the company of such notable builders as Leo Eimers, Daniel Slaman and other top craftsmen. An updating of the Selmer "Petit Bouche" used by Django himself, the Van Bergeijk Oval has the long 670mm scale for punch and projection, and a 14 fret neck for improved access. Immaculately constructed, this example is built with back and sides of solid Indian rosewood, and a bookmatched European spruce top of surpassing clarity. The guitar is in virtually unplayed condition with all original hardware and K&K Trinity piezo/mic system. Kept in immaculate condition, the instrument is without cracks, pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. The shallow D neck profile is slim and comfortable, and this example has the side dot at the 9th fret. A splendid combination of Old World design and New World sensibility.
Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge silvered steel strings, and will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference.
Case: Original black deluxe arched plush hardshell case.
