Notes: Introduced in mid-1952, the Gibson Les Paul Model has remained the worlds' most iconic electric guitar to this day. The Patent Applied For humbucking pickup debuted with the model in mid-1957, and the sunburst maple top Les Paul Standard made its bow the following year, becoming one of the rarest and most coveted Les Pauls ever produced.
The Premium Plus series featured highly figured upgrade flame maple tops, and Gibson's renowned Bursbucker pickups. With Alnico V magnets and traditional unpotted construction, these faithfully designed pickups are widely prized for their classic late '50s performance.
This outstanding example is crafted with a striking bookmatched tiger flame maple top, with a lustrous Heritage Sunburst finish that shades from an amber blonde center to a gently faded cherry at the perimeter. The solid rosewood fingerboard is notably light in color, making an attractive complement to the figured maple body.
This example is in remarkably pristine condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and appears all but unplayed. Smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup, on the classic '50s full C profile neck. Built in the last year for the fully solid, unchambered design, the body produces the enhanced sustain and drive of the fabled '50s originals.
The original case is supplied with all original tags, paperwork and accessories, including the ivory pickguard and bracket, never mounted to the body. The few surviving original LP Standards command several hundred thousand on the collector's market. Here's a great opportunity to get true vintage tone, feel, and look at a real player's price. One only: call now.
Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
Case: Original black Gibson logo arched fitted hardshell case with plush lining.
