Notes: Crafted to the precise specifications of its illustrious namesake, the Jimmy Bruno Model is constructed of highly flamed 5-ply arched maple, specifically crafted to optimize amplified tone while suppressing feedback. The 14 3/4" body is a delight to hold, and a breeze to tote to the gig. The Bruno's neck profile is particularly inviting, and the radius of the solid ebony board combined with the immaculately dressed fretwork make for an exceptionally nimble playing experience. A thoughtful touch is the placement of the jack, which is located near the tailpiece, well away from the player's knee.
This remarkable example is, according to Roger Sadowsky, the first prototype for this renowned guitar, built in 2005, just before the official launch of the model. Of particular note are features unseen on production examples, particularly the additional bridge pickup, oversize oval fingerboard inlays, and true vintage style nitro lacquer, not a poly finish as used on later issues. Finally, as a prototype, the guitar was fitted with neither an internal label nor a serial number, and is accompanied by a message from Roger attesting to its provenance.
At barely 6lb even, the guitar is nicely lightweight, and well balanced on the lap or strap. Carefully maintained, this guitar is 100% original condition, and appart from a bit of fogging on the neck pickup cover, is virtually free of playwear altogether. Beneath the lustrous Sienna burst finish, the body shows particularly vivid bookmatched fiddleback flame maple throughout.
Out of production for some years now, the Sadowsky Bruno has become an instant classic, with its resonant body a full inch deeper than its successor model, the SS-15. With elegant looks, and performance to match, this unique gig warrior is where the legend all started. One only, call now.

String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
