Notes: The instruments built by the Paul Reed Smith company are among the most influential and coveted electric guitars made anywhere. Introduced in 1985, the PRS Custom 24 was the firm's very first offering, and this groundbreaking model has remained in production to this day.With its highly figured maple top, solid mahogany set-neck construction, and player-friendly features like the low friction nut, locking tuners and comfy 10" radius fingerboard, the Custom 24 has set a standard for almost four decades.

This handsome example is in all original condition, with a spectacular, intensely figured tiger maple '10' top, and violin burst finish. At just 7lb 9oz, the guitar is nicely balanced and a pleasure to hold, on the lap or the strap. Smooth low action with a fresh high precision setup, over the traditionally contoured 'wide thin' D profile neck, elegant and sleek in the hand.

Built two decades after the debut of this storied model, the guitar is fitted with a custom engraved 20th Anniversary truss rod cover, and the widely coveted Vintage Bass and HFS humbucking pickups, with their initimable crunch and detail. The 5 way pickup selector affords tremendous versatility in tone, with full humbucking or single coil options available at the twist of the switch. Well maintained, the guitar is notably free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, showing only a few random lacquer nicks from its years of play.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected; bridge wheels lubricated; fingerboard; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with .010 gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference.
