Materials: AAA tiger flame maple body; solid mahogany neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and thistle peghead inlay; triple bound top, bound neck and back.

Hardware: 100% original nickel hardware, including Kluson Deluxe single ring tulip key tuners, trapeze tailpiece with raised-parallelogram crossbar; compensated Tuneomatic bridge; Gibson '57 Classic PAF pickups; beveled 5-ply pickguard; gold bonnet knobs; 3 way control switch.

Notes: Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been the most popular jazz guitar in the world. Originally fitted with a single P-90 pickup, the 175 added a second pickup by 1951, and humbuckers by 1957. The mahogany neck is a feature of the classic models of the 50's and 60's , and produces an instrument that is distinctly lighter in weight, and notably better balanced.

The body of this eye-popping guitar is finished in a classic natural blonde finish, showing off the exceptionally intense tiger maple throughout. Extravagantly figured with flame almost 3D in depth, the instrument has been maintained in superb condition, free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear.

With immaculate medium jumbo frets, the fingerboard is utterly effortless to play, with a fresh high-precision setup over a gentle C profile neck. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback.

Amazingly, after some seven decades of glory, this beloved model appears at this writing to have been withdrawn by Gibson from regular production. A truly spectacular instrument, in a distinguished lineage that spans a half century of hard-working guitars. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel half round strings (.012). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
