Finish: Natural blonde finish, nitrocellulose type
Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16"
Materials: Highly figured solid carved maple body; solid mahogany neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; bound body and neck.
Hardware: All nickel hardware, including Grover Rotomatic tuners: H-script trapeze tailpiece; compensated rosewood bridge; PAF style humbucking pickup; bound ebony pickguard; black speed knobs.
Notes: Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, the Heritage H-575 features a 16" Florentine cutaway body, parallel bracing, and fast 24 3/4" scale. This example has a highly figured solid tiger flame maple body, with a mahogany neck for light weight and good balance. The design harks back to the classic Gibson twin pickup ES-175, the workhorse of the jazz guitar world.
The guitar is in virtually unplayed condition, with aged nickel hardware, medium jumbo frets, and a neck that plays efforlessly. The mounted pickup design offers greater sustain and feedback resistance, and the 16" body is a joy to hold. A great instrument in a distinguished lineage of hard working gig guitars.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
Case: Original plush hardshell case.
