Materials: Arched flamed maple top, back and sides; solid mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod; solid Amazon Rosewood fingerboard; 7-ply bound body; triple bound headstock.
Hardware: All nickel hardware includes Sadowsky humbucking pickups: compensated Tunematic style bridge and stop tailpiece; Schaller tuners with ebony buttons; master volume and tone controls; 3 way pickup selector switch. Original solid ebony pickguard included.
Notes: The Sadowsky Semi-Hollow Model is constructed of highly flamed 5-ply arched maple, specifically crafted to optimize amplified tone while suppressing feedback. The thinline version of the popular Jimmy Bruno model, the Semi-Hollow is a delight to hold, and a breeze to tote to the gig. The gentle D neck profile is particularly inviting, and the smooth fretwork on the solid Amazon Rosewood fingerboard board all make for an exceptionally nimble playing experience. Advanced design features include the extended cutaway body for enhanced fret access, and the chambered body, much lighter than conventional slimline guitars.
This stunning example is finished in a warm amber blonde, and shows particularly intense flame maple throughout. At just 5lb. 14oz, the guitar is exceptionally light in weight, and the solid mahogany neck makes for exemplary balance on the lap or the strap. This handsome instrument has been immaculately maintained in virtually unplayed condition, and is supplied with its original ebony pickguard, never mounted to the guitar. With this combination of features, workmanship and appearance, small wonder that Sadowsky can't keep up with demand for this hot new model.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge (.012-054) flatwound nickel strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
