Notes: A European trained builder whose instruments combine traditional design with exacting contemporary standards of craft, Bryant Trenier is a fine visual designer as well as a meticulous fabricator. One of the most talented builders of his generation, Trenier has built a following on both sides of the Atlantic with his exquisitely crafted instruments, the products of his intensive research and deep commitment to the art of the acoustic archtop guitar.
The classic 17" Venetian cutaway body is hand carved of solid, kiln dried Alpine spruce, with handsome curly Euro maple back, sides and neck. This example has all original hardware and finish, and has been maintained in superb condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. At just 6lb 4oz the instrument is well balanced, on the lap or the strap.
Neck profile is a comfy gentle D, with smooth low action over fine medium fretwork, on a solid ebony fingerboard, with a fresh high-precision setup. Enhancing its versatility is the Armstrong Handwound Adjustable Floating PAF pickup, a marvel of faithful amplification, equally at home with nickel or bronze strings alike. The art-deco soundholes echo the streamlined aesthetic of the instrument's D'Angelico heritage, and the hand graduated, tap tuned, X braced soundboard affords a rich, woody voice, with excellent acoustic volume and projection.
A striking work of contemporary luthiery, the Trenier Special delivers robust vintage tone with 21st century playability, in a design that synthesizes the best of old and new. Bryant's new guitars start at $10K with a substantial wait. Grab this instant classic at an unbeatable price. One only, call now.

The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
