Materials: All solid construction includes deeply flamed tiger flame maple top; highly figured mahogany body and neck; inset maple center block; solid rosewood fingerboard; grained ivoroid bound body and neck.

Hardware: Dual Lollar low-wind Imperial humbuckers; Collings/Sperzel 18:1 tuners; grained ivoroid keys, knobs, pickup rings and truss rod cover: stop tailpiece and adjustable compensated Tuneomatic style bridge; 3 way pickup selector switch.

Notes: Handbuilt in Austin to the highest standards of craft, the Collings SoCo Deluxe is a blend of two of the world's most iconic electric guitars. Taking the Gibson ES-335 as a starting point, the SoCo Deluxe adds classic Les Paul body styling, and ups the game with all solid tonewoods, including a premium tiger maple top with extravagant bookmatched flame. With its solid maple center block and stop tail design, the SoCo Deluxe enhances sustain, with superior feedback resistance at higher volume levels.

Premium touches include twin Lollar low-wind Imperial humbuckers, Sperzel 18:1 tuners, and grained ivoroid binding and hardware throughout. This outstanding example shows extravagant tiger flame in the top, and has been maintained in immaculate 100% original condition, without apparent playwear. The classic gentle C profile neck offers smooth low action over gleaming traditional medium nickel-silver fretwire, and the tone is pure bliss, from blues to bebop to rockabilly heaven.

At just 6lb. 8oz. the guitar is markedly lighter than its Gibson counterparts, and simply a delight to play, with smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup. A remarkable find, from one of our favorite builders. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.011-.049). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
