Notes: Innovative modern luthiers Claudio and Claudia Pagelli combine Italian flair with Swiss precision in designing their dramatic custom built guitars. From their workshop in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, they have collaborated with Eastman to produce an instrument with custom luthier look and feel, at a working player's price. An intrigung fusion of traditional and modern design, the Pagelli is crafted to delight the eye, ear and hand alike. The deco-inspired body contour was created with ergonomic efficiency in mind: body and neck both balanced for maximum player comfort.
This gleaming example is constructed of particularly vivid tiger flame maple, which is bookmatched in an extravagant chevron pattern along the back centerseam, and plays out in diagonal rollers on the sides. Lightweight and resonant, the top is finely carved and produces a voice both sweet, clear and nicely balanced. The pickup floats cleanly off the body and the electronics are quiet and accurate. And the gentle D neck profile is comfortably tailored to the palm, with smooth low action. The solid figured maple bridge is capped with a saddle of solid bone, transmitting string energy to the soundboard without metal parts of any kind.
This recent example is in immaculate condition, and is supplied complete with its custom Eastman deluxe plush lined hardshell case. Museum quality design, at an off-the-rack price. One only: call now.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012-.052). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings.
Case: Black custom Eastman deluxe plush lined hardshell case.
