Notes: Introduced in 1959, the ES-330TD combined cutting-edge innovation with traditional design. The slim depth body is a delight for the player to hold; greatly reducing feedback, the trim profile still retains the graceful lines of the classic Gibson archtops. Best of all, the 330 has a fully hollow body, like the Byrdland, ES-350T, and the famous "George Gobel" L-5CT.
Ideal for jazz, blues and everything in between, the hollow tone chamber produces a fatter, warmer tone than semi-solid models, and is blissfully lighter in weight. Discontinued in 1973, the ES-330TD remains among the most comfortable and versatile electric guitars Gibson ever made.
Gibson's most fanatically faithful reissue of this classic model, the '59 VOS (Vintage Original Spec) is crafted with an arched slab cut maple body, with 16 fret neck joint, aged nickel hardware, and rounded cream binding. The neck has the coveted "C" profile specific to this era: full and solid in the hand. The frets are the original 50's style mediums, famously easy to play, and this guitar is fitted with the classic gold bell knobs, and a vintage style hand-aged wide-bevel pickguard and pickup covers.
At just a hair over 6lb. the guitar is nicely light and well balanced, sitting smartly on the lap or the shoulder. The warmly ambered body finish is true nitro lacquer, wet-sanded and hand rubbed for a soft vintage patina. The original-spec MHS P-90 pickups are scatter-wound with Alnico II magnets for true vintage tone; clear, detailed and rich in harmonics, thanks to their slightly under-wound construction.
This handsome instrument is in 100% original condition, complete with its original Certificate of Authenticity. A breathtaking example of a legendary classic from Gibson's Golden Age of electric guitars. One only: call now.
Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
Case: Original Gibson deluxe arched black plush lined hardshell case.
