Notes: Those who've followed our listings over the years know our particular affection for the legendary prewar Epiphone archtops. The brilliance of these guitars has led us to champion the design in contemporary instruments as well. Northwest luthier Bryant Trenier has revisited these renowned instruments, with some intriguing contemporary touches. This handsome and powerful guitar is the result.

The classic 16+ inch body is finished in a lustrous vintage style sunburst lacquer, an ultra-light finish designed to optimize the acoustic response of the soundboard. With a solid bookmatched figured tiger flame maple body and neck, the guitar has a hand-graduated, tap tuned Adirondack spruce top, which is parallel braced for maximum volume and projection.

At a mere 5lb. 9oz, the guitar is happily light in weight, and deftly balanced, on the lap or the strap. The result is an instrument of notable brilliance and clarity, with an open acoustic voice rare in newly built guitars. Neck profile is a comfy gentle C, with smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup, on a solid ebony fingerboard. This guitar has all original Cremona sunburst finish, free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. Smooth low action with a fresh high-precision setup. A special plus, the guitar is fitted with genuine vintage parts, including a prewar nickel Grover tailpiece; and a DeArmond FHC floating pickup with volume and tone controls, and jack, all mounted to the pickguard.

A striking work of contemporary luthiery, the Trenier Broadway delivers robust vintage tone with 21st century playability, in a design that synthesizes the best of old and new. With his workshop now located in southern France, Trenier is crafting guitars in high demand, and a considerable wait list, on both sides of the pond. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge bronze roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe black plush lined hardshell case.
