Materials: Highly figured maple laminate body; solid mahogany neck with solid rosewood fingerboard; single bound body and neck.

Hardware: Gotoh 501 tuners with solid ebony keys, knobs, pickguard and tailpiece; Amalfitano PAF humbucking pickup, with 500K pots and Jupiter Vintage Yellow cap.

Notes: Collings superbly designed gig guitar, the Eastside Jazz LC Deluxe combines premium features with uncompromising pro quality tone, playability and durability. The compact 15" body is slimmed to 1 7/8" for maximum ease under the arm. The highly flamed fully hollow maple body is crafted of lightweight laminate for superior feedback resistance, enhanced sustain, and bulletproof reliability.

At a scant 5lb 2oz, the instrument is blissfully light in weight, and deftly balanced on the lap or the strap. Upscale touches include solid ebony hardware and a lustrous, whisper thin, dark merlot lacquer finish. With vivid tiger flame in the body, this guitar has been maintained in sparkling condition, without apparent playwear.

This fine example is fitted with an Amalfitano PAF humbucking pickup, hand crafted with '50s style sand cast Alnico 2 magnets, #42 gauge wire, and an unpotted body for enhanced microphonic response. The classic gentle C profile neck offers smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup, and fully Plek'd traditional medium nickel-silver fretwire, with the neck strap pin moved a few inches from the upper side to the heel itself.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
