Serial #: 21715 Body size at lower bout: 16 1/2" Body depth, at endpin: 5" Scale length: 25 1/2" Nut: 1 3/4" Neck depth, 1st/10th frets: .81/.87

Materials: Solid AAAA figured black walnut back and sides; solid bookmatched Western red cedar top; five-piece mahogany neck with rosewood centerstripes; solid ebony fingerboard; curly sycamore body binding; solid bone nut; rosewood bridge and peghead facing; gold Gotoh SG381 tuners with ebony keys; adjustable truss rod; factory installed Baggs Anthem pickup system.

Notes: George Lowden has been building master quality guitars for some half a century, principally from his workshops in his native Ireland. A legend among flat top players, Lowden innovations included his 'A frame' bracing pattern, and 'dolphin' strut profiles, which allows the top to respond vigorously throughout the entire frequency range.

Lowden's O-23 features his original jumbo body design, crafted with a Western red cedar soundboard, and a rare AAAA solid flamed black walnut back and sides, deftly bookmatched in a symmetrical chevron pattern, and highlighted with binding of striking curly sycamore, a maple variant.

The extra depth jumbo body produces a full, warm tone, both complex and highly resonant. The Baggs Anthem pickup system is one of the most natural we've heard, and is controlled with thumbwheel volume and tone controls, conveniently mounted just inside the soundhole.

At just 4lb. 10oz, the instrument is happily lightweight for a jumbo sized instrument, and is graced with an elegant matte finish throughout. This fine example in 100% original condition, and plays flawlessly with a fresh high-precision setup, on the gentle D profile neck. The original clear scratchplate was removed at some point, and an additional factory Lowden scratchplate is included in the case. Apart from a few incidental finish nicks, the guitar shows few signs of play altogether, and is accompanied by all factory paperwork.

With a vibrant voice to match its dramatic looks, this remarkable guitar is an excellent choice for both pick and fingerstyle players alike. One only: call now.

Case: Original black Hiscox ultralight molded plush lined hardshell case.
