Notes: A European trained builder whose instruments combine traditional design with exacting contemporary standards of craft, luthier Bryant Trenier is a fine visual designer as well as a meticulous fabricator. The result is an instrument as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear and the hand.

A full depth guitar in the classic tradition, this Trenier 18 Custom is tribute to the legendary D'Aquisto Centura. Carved of extravagantly figured bookmatched AAAA curly maple, the guitar has a hand-graduated, tap tuned, solid X-braced Alpine spruce soundboard.

Premium features include a generous oval soundport in the upper bass side, handcrafted solid wood hardware, D'Aquisto style open soundholes and a custom floating Kent Armstrong Handmade single coil pickup in a striking chevron design. The neck profile is an easy gentle D, with smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup, on a fingerboard of solid black ebony. A special plus, the guitar is accompanied by an additional acoustic pickguard in an identical design.

With it's finely carved X- braced soundboard, this instrument is a true acoustic guitar, open and forward, with clarity, punch and an even response along the entire scale. The voice is full and rich, with volume and projection more typical of a much older instrument.

At just 5lb 15oz, the guitar is phenomenally lightweight for a super jumbo body, and well balanced on the lap or he strap. With his workshop now located in southern France, Trenier is crafting guitars in high demand, and a considerable wait list, on both sides of the pond. Simply spectacular: one only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe plushlined arched black hardshell case.
