Handbuilt to the highest Japanese standards of craft, the Kingsnake Smith Jazz gets right to business with its thinline double cutaway body. Taking the beloved Gibson ES-330 as a starting point, the Smith Jazz is crafted with custom lightweight laminate soundboard and back plate, with a solid mahogany neck.

With its unique design, the Smith jazz modifies the traditional unbraced body of the 330 with a pair of lightweight parallel braces, and a small solid spruce block wedged between them, right under the bridge. These enhance both sustain and feedback resistance in the featherweight, fully hollow body. And at a mere 4lb 14oz, the instrument is notably lighter than its Gibson predecessor, and balances deftly on the lap or the strap.

The Bare Knuckle Half Note Alnico 3 P-90 style pickup lends a fat, '50s style bop tone, with excellent fidelity to the body resonance. The classic '59 style C profile neck offers smooth low action over gleaming medium fretwire, with a fresh high-precision setup.

This striking instrument is in 100% original condition, without playwear, and a gorgeous warm amber blonde vintage nitro lacquer finish. They even got the wide 60 degree bevel on the pickguard just right. And all nestled in it lovely vintage Gretsch style white tolex hardshell case.

Delightful to hold, and delicious to play, the Kingsnake Smith Jazz gets it just right, with just the essentials. And an unbeatable best buy, in a true performance quality guitar. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
