Notes: A true child of the '60's, the Epiphone Riviera (E360TD) debuted in 1962, and came to an early end in 1970. Three decades later, the Riviera remains a popular reissue guitar, with original examples highly prized by players and collectors alike. With its warm, powerful mini-humbucking pickups and slimline body, the Riviera is the thinking player's alternative to the now extremely spendy 60's ES-335. The semi-hollow centerblock construction adds sustain and feedback resistance, and combined with it's sleek sixties neck profile and generous medium jumbo frets, the Riviera is a highly versatile instrument, and one tremendous ride.

This exceptional example comes direct from the original owner, who acquired it in high school and has lovingly maintained it ever since. She's in absolutely superb condition, with 100% original hardware and gleaming cherry finish, without cracks, pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and has smooth low action over an impeccably slim, fast neck. Apart from a bit of normal scattered finish checking, mostly on the back, and a small imprint under the original Frequensator tailpiece from an aftermarket vibrola long since removed, the instrument shows little sign of playwear altogether. An unbeatable value in a true '60's Gibson-made electric from the golden era.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Original Epiphone hardshell case.
