Serial #: 129011, stamped in headstock Body size at lower bout: 16" Scale length: 24 1/2" Nut Width: 1 19/32" Neck depth, 1st/12th frets: .79/.99

Materials: Arched slab cut maple body; solid Honduran mahogany neck; solid rosewood fingerboard.

Hardware: All original chrome hardware includes twin Patent sticker pickups, ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge, raised diamond trapeze tailpiece; nickel Kluson Gibson Deluxe tuners; black bonnet volume and tone knobs; 5 ply pickguard with nickel support bracket. Mini coil-tap switches installed for each pickup.

Notes: Introduced in 1958, the ES-335TD ("Thin Double-pickup") cemented Gibson's reputation for cutting-edge innovation combined with classic traditional design. The thin body was easier for players to hold, the inner block enhanced sustain and reduced feedback, and the new PAF humbucking pickups set a new standard for quiet operation, high output, and sweet, fat tone. Small wonder that the 335 became an instant classic, and has remained one of the world's most popular electric guitars to this day.

The lustrous deep walnut finish made its debut as an option in 1969, and by 1971 it had become the most popular color for this beloved model. This outstanding example has been maintained in showroom condition, with no cracks or repairs, and free of pick, buckle, thumb, fret, or fingerboard wear. Apart from a few scattered spider checks in the gleaming original walnut lacquer, the instrument looks much as it did when it left the Kalamazoo factory, during the heyday of the Columbo TV series.

This gleaming guitar is fitted with the slim, late '60's style no-volute neck, and retains its original Pat. Sticker 'T-Top' humbuckers and electronics, as well as its ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge. The pickups provide a smooth, highly saturated signal with lots of depth and crunch. The gleaming walnut finish shows the slab-cut figured maple body to great advantage, and contrasts elegantly with the jet-black pickguard and control knobs.

The neck has a fast, elegant, light "C" profile, with smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup, on its fine original medium jumbo fretwork. At 7lb 7oz, the guitar is lighter than many later models, and was stamped '2' for no presently detectable cosmetic reason. A special plus, each pickup has been fitted with a mini coil-tap switch, to maximize the tonal palette of the instrument. An under-the bed classic, and an outstanding player, for the working player or weekend warrior alike. One only: call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Deluxe brown arched plush lined hardshell case in excellent condition.
