Materials: Arched slab-cut maple body; 3 piece maple neck, w/ rosewood fingerboard; dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and thistle peghead inlay; triple bound top, bound back and neck.

Hardware: 100% original hardware includes twin Gibson Pat. # humbucking pickups; nickel Kluson Deluxe tuners; chrome trapeze tailpiece with raised-parallelogram crossbar; compensated Tuneomatic bridge; beveled 5-ply pickguard, black bonnet knobs and 3 way control switch.

Notes: The thinline version of Gibson's most popular jazz guitar, the ES-175T is a scarce item indeed, having been produced only between 1976 and 1979. Otherwise identical to its chubbier cousin, the 175T nestles snugly under the arm with it's slim body, under 2" in depth. One of just 73 examples in blonde finish in its debut year, this handsome example has been kept in superb condition, with all original hardware, electronics and finish, free of playwear, cracks or repairs.

At just 6lb 6oz, the guitar is nicely light in weight compared to later models, and balances handily on the lap or the strap. The thinline body is supremely comfy for the longest gig, and with brand new medium jumbo frets, and a fresh high precision setup, the gentle C profile neck is simply a delight in the hand..

The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the Pat. # 'T -Top' humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. The natural lacquer finish has ambered to a gorgeous deep honey blonde. Highlighting the slab cut maple figure to great advantage, this lustrous finish is without pick, buckle, or thumbwear, and shows only some light scattered age checking to vouch for its originality.

A rare find, in gleaming condition, and an unmatched combination of tone, comfort, and performance. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as required; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black Gibson plush lined hardshell case.
