Notes: Introduced in 1978, the Ibanez George Benson GB-10 model was the first artist model in the company's history, and remains the longest running as well. Designed to the detailed specifications of Benson himself, the GB-10 was a breakthrough design for the modern player. The narrower, slimmer profile hugs the body closer than traditional big boxes, and the thicker laminated top significantly improved feedback resistance, for play at higher volume levels. Deluxe features include the tension-adjustable tailpiece, bound f-holes, inlaid ebony bridge, and twin GB special floating pickups. Small wonder the GB-10 has remained one of the world's most popular and versatile jazz guitars to this day.

This guitar is an original series Japanese-built model, and has been maintained in fine shape, with an attractive figured arched maple back, free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. The all-gold hardware and electronics are all original, as is the warmly ambered blonde finish. Apart from a few incidental lacquer nicks and some wear on the plating, the instrument shows few signs of play altogether. The highly polished original medium jumbo frets are in excellent condition, and the twin floating pickups are warm, detailed and highly versatile. The guitar has smooth low action over a gentle D profile neck, with a solid ebony fingerboard, and is supplied with its original deluxe fitted Ibanez aluminum plush lined flight case.

Compact, versatile and elegantly designed, with impeccable Japanese craftsmanship, this guitar is a best buy, and a fine example of one of the most popular gig guitars of all time. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel wound strings (.013-.057). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe Ibanez rectangular aluminum fitted plush lined flight case.
