Notes: The rarest color for the legendary ES-175 is the factory ebony finish, and we are pleased to offer this fine example of Gibson's most popular jazz guitar ever.
This example has been very well cared for, with all original finish, hardware, and case. Showing no pick, thumb, buckle or fingerboard wear, the factory ebony finish has only a few traces of light normal checking on the back only. The neck profile is a comfy medium C , and the action is low and smooth over fine original medium jumbo frets. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the original Gibson humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. A rare and eyecatching example, this Black Beauty is perfect for stage, studio, or any number by Johnny Cash. Call now.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
Case: Original black Gibson deluxe plushlined hardshell case.
