Materials: Arched flamed maple top, back and sides; solid three piece maple/mahogany neck; solid ebony fingerboard with ornate floral inlays; Macassar ebony peghead facing; high color abalone body binding; bone nut.

Hardware: 100% original hardware including bound flame maple pickguard; inlaid ebony adjustable bridge; gold sealed tuners; twin gold GB Special Johnny Smith style floating humbucking pickups; volume and tone controls with amber speed knobs; tortoise inlaid gold die-cast split tailpiece with individual adjuster knobs.

Notes: The rare upmarket version of the popular Ibanez GB-10, the GB-100 Deluxe was introduced in 1993 and built only through 1996. Premium features include a full size 3" body depth, highly figured flame maple body, and ornate floral inlay in the solid ebony fingerboard and tailpiece.

This guitar is in outstanding 100% original condition, showing no pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. A genuine Japanese made model from the Fujigen factory, the guitar shows outstanding figure in the tiger flame body and pickguard, accented with solid abalone binding front and back.

Smooth low action over fine original medium jumbo frets, comfy gentle D neck profile. The traditional full depth body enhances bass response, with highly versatile tone through the twin floating JS style pickups. Now vanishingly rare, the elegant GB-100 Deluxe is a fitting tribute to the best selling jazz guitarist of all time.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel flatwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
