Materials: Solid carved Sitka spruce top, solid tiger maple back and sides, solid mahogany neck, solid rosewood fingerboard; bound body and neck.
Hardware: 100% original nickel hardware, including Grover Rotomatic tuners; Heritage logo trapeze tailpiece; compensated rosewood bridge; Heritage Schaller humbucking pickup; figured maple pickguard; black barrel volume and tone knobs; adjustable truss rod.
Notes: Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, the Heritage H-575 features a 16" Florentine cutaway body, parallel bracing, and fast 24 3/4" scale. Unlike its Gibson counterpart, the ES-175, the Heritage H-575 is built with all solid tonewoods throughout, for lighter weight and greater resonance. A rare example of the single pickup version of the model, this handsome instrument was built with a solid, graduated Sitka spruce top, an option long unavailable on this popular guitar.
This striking instrument is built with an extravagantly flamed tiger maple body, with a deeply ambered natural blonde finish. At just 5lb, 13oz, it's nimbly balanced on the lap or the strap, and the slightly slimmed 2 7/8" depth body is notably comfortable under the arm. Maintained in fine condition, the instrument is without cracks, pick, or fingerboard wear, with a few incidental lacquer nicks by the tailpiece and some light buckle worming on the back.
The guitar has smooth low action over fine original fretwork, with a fresh high precision setup, and a gentle D profile neck that plays effortlessly. The solid graduated spruce soundboard offers superior acoustic responsiveness, and the compact 16" body is easy to hold, and a joy to play.
Even Gibson's costly L-4CES doesn't offer a solid carved maple back like this handsome gigmeister. A rare bird, and one of the best buys in a true US built, hardworking jazz box. One only: call now.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel flatwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
Case: Deluxe black arched plush lined hardshell case.
