The Model F is the Santa Cruz Guitar Company's all-purpose guitar, and one of its best-selling models. Equally at home with pick or fingers, it's the Swiss Army Knife for the touring player, and a favorite of performing songwriters. This rare cutaway example is crafted with a body of solid curly Koa, tonewood so highly figured it's almost three-dimensional in the intensity of its bookmatched flame. With its 14 fret cutaway body, the instrument offers unimpeded access to the highest register, and at just 4lb 3oz. is superlatively light weight and well balanced.
This stunning guitar boasts appointments including scalloped bracing, solid ebony fingerboard and bridge, grained ivoroid binding, and rainbow Paua abalone soundhole rosette and peghead logo. The neck profile is an elegant gentle D, effortless in the hand, and the action is smooth and low over highly polished vintage style fretwork.
The voice is clear, even and brilliant, with excellent balance all across its long-scale fingerboard. This eye-popping example has been kept in immaculate condition: truly an instrument befitting its imperial pedigree. One only: call now.
Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge bronze strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter strings, according to preference.
