Serial #: O04601, Kalamazoo label Body size at lower bout: 16", Scale length: 25 1/2" Nut: 1 11/16" Body depth: 2 3/4" Neck depth, 1st/10th fret: .85/.91

Materials: Solid bookmatched handcarved fine grain Sitka spruce top; solid handcarved bookmatched tiger-flame maple back, sides and neck; solid ebony fingerboard with cloud mother of pearl inlays; abalone headstock logo; 7-ply body binding; 5-ply neck binding; bound f-holes; solid bone nut.

Hardware: 100% original gold hardware includes Heritage logo trapeze tailpiece with endpin jack, Grover Rotomatic tuners, full size Heritage floating humbucking pickup, 5-ply bound maple pickguard with volume knob; compensated adjustable ebony bridge with inlaid foot; adjustable truss rod.

Notes: Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, the Sweet 16 is an all-solid, all-carved jazz guitar in a notably comfortable size. Similar in concept to the Gibson L-4C, the Sweet 16 is just slightly shallower in depth, making it a pleasure to cradle under the arm, on the lap, or on the strap.

The model is unique as well in matching its 16" body with a full length 25 1/2" L-5 scale, a combination virtually unseen in either contemporary or vintage archtops. In addition, the full-size floating humbucking pickup allows the solid carved soundboard to resonate to its fullest acoustic capacity.

This example is finished in a lustrous warm sunburst finish, with exceptionally vivid figure in the tiger flame maple body and neck. In showroom condition, the instrument has all original finish and hardware, without playwear, and with excellent neck angle and bridge height.

Neck profile is a comfy gentle D, with fine original medium jumbo fretwork on the solid ebony fingerboard. Voice is clear and open, with excellent volume unplugged or through the original Heritage floating humbucking pickup. Truly the best buy in a genuine American made jazz classic.

All complete with its original deluxe arched Heritage plushined hardshell case and factory paperwork. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
